My Dad first introduced me to fishing. As a small lad he would take me every week in and around the Cambridgeshire and Fenland area. Back in the day I always enjoyed the 1st Sept arriving as it signalled the beginning of the Pike season.
I have concentrated on fishing for Pike and other predators for the last 5 years, initially using the lure, but more recently preferring the Fly method. I feel that flies provide a different presentation from lures and find that fly fishing a more tangible method.When I started fishing for Pike with the fly I joined the PFFA and after fishing several events and found the members more welcoming and constructive than other clubs I have joined. I’m looking forward to supporting this association as it goes from strength to strength.
